Garden Harvest 2012

The students of DCS had great results from the community garden in 2012.  Recently, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, cabbage, broccoli and squash were harvested.  DCS 3rd grade students made chili for the Charter School and all DCS classes made a harvest vegetable soup.  Since the addition of the greenhouse, students have been able to observe the full cycle - sprouting seeds, watch them grow into plants, and then transplant them into the garden, where vegetables will grow and again be harvested!
