Discovery Charter School students are involved in vermiculture, or worm farming. they are feeding leftover food scraps to a bin of redworms, donated by Mr. and Mrs. Karow of Columbus. The worm compost, otherwise known as 'worm castings" will be used to fertilize classroom plants. Pictured is Emma Weirough, who is feeding the worms some potato peelings.
